Ya algo estándar en las presentaciones de sus nuevos chismes electrónicos, Apple ha destacado todo lo bueno y "ecológico" que tiene...o NO tiene....el nuevo iPad.
La cáscara está hecha de dos de las materiales más fáciles y menos costosas en energía y dinero para reciclar: el aluminio y el cristal...(pero NO aluminio y cristal reciclado). La pantalla led, LCD, está libre de mercurio y arsénico, dos sustancias muy comunes en los aparatos tecnológicos...(pero NO utiliza OLEDs). Está libre de BFRs (sustancias químicas resistentes al fuego, tóxicas y probablemente cancerígenas) y no tiene ningún elemento hecho de PVC. Su envoltorio es reciclable (pero NO de material reciclado).
Básicamente, esto es todo que nos dice Steve. A lo mejor esto es porque Apple queda en naranja en el nuevo ranking de Greener Electronics de Greenpeace:
Alguna gente discute que los posibles usos del iPad verdaderamente representan su lado más verde...prensa, revistas, libros, música y películas digitales - menos papel, menos transporte, menos contaminación, menos agotamiento de recursos.

No creo que una empresa que sale cada año con un nuevo producto que deja sentir a la gente que lo que ya tiene (y que todavia funziona perfectamente!) es inadecuado y tiene que ser cambiado por algo nuevo y tirado en la vasura. Planned obselecense incluye moda, y Apple es una marca no solo de electronicos, pero de moda tambien. Y moda nunca puede ser ecologico. Ademas, este iPad es la misma tecnologia de siempre, nuevamente empaquetado.

Estoy en completo desacuerdo contigo Benjamín en t comentario sobre la moda. La moda puede ser perfectamente ecológica, puesto que el concepto moda solo marca la temporalidad del gusto o el uso, y no tiene nada que ver con las características intrínsecas del producto. Da la impresión de asocias moda a consumismo lo cual sería injusto y apriorístico.
ReplyDeletePor toro lado las empresas producen para vender y no se les puede echar en cara que quieran cumplir dicho objetivo. Si se puede criticar que para cumplirlo utilicen sistemas no éticos o nocivos para el entorno.
El cambio en el sistema de consumo tiene que venir del consumidor, que es el que realmente tiene la última palabra.
